Gunmen Attack Church in Delta, Kidnap Six and Maim Pastor

A devastating attack on Elyon Paradise Ministry church in Aniocha South local government area of Delta State has left a pastor severely injured and six others kidnapped. The incident occurred on February 21, 2025, at approximately 10:30 pm.

According to Pastor Steve Victor Onuchukwu, the gunmen shot Pastor Divine Omodia and severed two of his fingers, resulting in significant blood loss. The kidnapped victims were taken to an unknown location, and despite reporting the incident to the police, no ransom demands have been made.

The police command’s spokesperson, Bright Edafe, claimed unawareness of the incident. Meanwhile, Pastor Omodia is currently undergoing emergency surgery at a hospital, with medical personnel fighting to save his life.

The incident has sparked apprehension among the church community, with many awaiting news of the kidnapped victims’ fate and the pastor’s recovery.
